John Aguiar ( BA,BJ,MJ. ) is a Konkani poet, writer, media person and lyricist His song Viva Carnival, composed and sung by Mukesh Ghatwal was chosen as the Goa carnival theme song in 2012. . Aguiar wrote a bhakti geet on Lord Ganesha also composed and sung by Mukesh Ghatwal, a first of its kind in Konkani .Thereafter wrote several songs. Four books of Konkani poems ,one each English and romi konkani essays. Nominated for the best lyrics award at Mangalore, bagged KBM’s Literary Award in the year 2017. Gulab Writer of the Year Award ,The Navhind Times Ex-NCC Achiever Award. He bagged Goa CM’s Medal in Home Guards Presidents Medal for Meritorious , Presidents Medal for Distinguished Services DGCD Commendation 2013 and DDGNCC Commendation. Professionally, he was an officer with the Government of Goa's Department of Information and Publicity. Aguiar has been a journalist since his college days, associated with newspapers such as Herald, West Coast Times, Goencho Avaz, Rashtramat, Navhind Times, Gomantak and others.

Buyao theatres Goem releases ‘Ek Nate’




Bollywood singer, Suraj Jagan who sang the song ‘Give me some Sunshine’ in the super hit movie ‘3 Idiots’ was present at the CD release of ‘Ek Nate’ the fourteenth Konkani music album by Buyao theatres Goem, composed and conceptualized by Sidhanath Buyao.

The CD was released at the hands of Vijai Sardesai, Fatorda MLA, at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao on Sunday, April 8, 2012.
Suraj Jagan sang ‘Give me some sunshine’ on the occasion and admiring Goa’s beauty commented, “Goa is a beautiful place and I am so elated to be here.”
Earlier, Mr Sardesai praised Sidhanath Buyao for her work in the field of music.
Sidhanath Buyao maintained that it takes at least three months to come up with a quality Konkani album.
Buyao theatres Goem has been in the field of music for many years now. The CD has Bollywood singer Shankar Mahadevan singing a Sufi composition penned by Sai Palondicar. Swapnil Bandodkar, Chaitany Kulkarni, Janhavi Prabhu Arora and Anusha Mani have also lent their voice to this album.
Besides composing the lyrics of two songs, Sidhanath has also sung two songs for the album.
Buyao has also chosen one song by late Manohar Rai Sardesai. Award winning lyricist Shridhar Kamat, Sai Palondicar, Sanjay Borkar, John Aguiar and Chetan Acharya have also composed lyrics for the album. The video for the album is shot at Cab-de-Ram and Colva, which will be telecasted on local news channels after the release.
